Beginning Thursday, September 21, 2017, the AHA will introduce the sixth edition/2017 Program Administration Manual (PAM)-US Version. The updated manual shortens and simplifies the current fifth edition/2012 PAM, as well as includes updated requirements for Training Centers and Instructors.
What You Need to Know
The 2017 PAM includes the most up-to-date information, including information about the upcoming eCard and feedback devices requirements, context around the Training Center renewal process, liability insurance requirements, and more.
The PAM is intended to supplement current CPR and ECC information and training materials. New policies, changes to the current PAM policies, and clarification of policies are announced in Training Bulletins and Training Memos.
What You Need to Do
The new edition of PAM provides updated requirements that impact administration and courses. Please thoroughly review the new PAM to ensure new and updated policies are followed. These policies help ensure consistency and quality delivery of courses, ultimately improving the ability of your students to save lives.
